I have been planning, promoting, and operating sight-seeing and adventure tours as an independent tour guide for more than 32 years, and have been traveling many of the routes since my childhood. Little did I realize in the early years of planning family road trips, packing the car, and driving for hours, I was in training for what would become a lifelong passion and career.
So, what do I do with all this experience?
I guide tours! Because I freelance as an independent, I guide for several highly rated tour companies. I wear all the hats on the road; tour guide, tour manager, baggage handler, navigator, and I love doing it all! I pack the van, drive the van, point at things then tell you what they are. I offer information but not overload with non-stop chatter. My main objective is to overdeliver with more than expected and offer an experience that creates lifelong memories. Most important to me is your safety, which I take very seriously.
Family Tours & Private Custom Tours
I love taking families on tours! My wife and I raised a large family of our own that we frequently took on road trips. They grew up hiking, which developed a love for the outdoors. We now have an even larger family with grandchildren who also like road trips and hiking. Families love activities, I love activities. I love to take families on active trips, so we plan tours that keep everyone engaged, involved and happy!
Favorite Tour
My favorite tour? The one I’m guiding at the time. I know, pretty cliche but it’s true. I love the open road and being behind the wheel sharing my knowledge and love of the West with folks from all parts of the globe. The West is my home, and I go to great lengths in making sure everyone gets to see as much of it as possible while on my tours.
Southwest Day Tours & Multi-day Tours

Southwest Utah Adventures (ATV, Jeep, Zipline, Canyoneer, Snowmobile, Ski, Snowboard)
Get out into Utah’s southwest on a guided ATV or snowmobile tour. Climb a sand dune with views from the apex that range 360 degrees and include spectacular scenes of the west face of Zion National Park or ski down the alpine slopes at Brian Head in the highlands of Southwest Utah’s Color Country. (Lunch included).
St. George – Day Spa / Hike
Take a guided hike into the scenic back-country of one of Utah’s most scenic state parks. Learn about the geography and biology of this dramatic topography, and capture plenty of photos to remember this experience. Enjoy some excellent lunch-time dining with a delectable and very healthy meal at one of America’s top destination spas, and then cap off your day tour with the spa treatment of your choice (massage, facials, etc.)
Western U.S. Tours
Scenic (e.g. – Western U.S.)
Customized day-tours to world-class scenic destinations or a multi-day tour that includes national parks and recreation areas from Glacier National Park to the Grand Canyon. I specialize in planning tours to the Western U.S. In addition to these spectacular sightseeing experiences, I can add guided walks, hikes, powersports, and other outdoor activities to fit the desired interests for each group.
Alpine Recreation (Rocky Mountains)
Enjoy skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, or sleigh riding in the winter, and hiking, mountain biking, off-roading or scenic tours in the summer at world-class mountain destinations.

I’ve lived in Utah most of my life and have traveled throughout the west extensively. I know where the locals eat, the best places to shop, and many off-the-beaten trails and hideaways few tourists visit. Don’t be surprised if I throw in a few extra stops and unexpected side trips along the way. I know where they are!
I’ve been traveling the highways, byways, and back roads of the Grand Circle and Rocky Mountain states since my childhood, which gives me the advantage of having local knowledge.
